Last weekend we went to Paris to check out the (capsule) & MAN fashion fairs. As usual we had a great and inspirational time. Here's a look at some of the highlights from the shows

The Master-Piece bags are always a favourite

This was something I found really interesting. Enviromentally conscious brand TWOTHIRDS have put together water soluble plastic bags that they wrap their clothing in. After only a day the plastic completely breaks down & dissolves.

British/Japanese denim brand Allevol had some great collaborations going on with Japanese shirt makers Sunny Sports & accesory brand The Superior Labor

Kitsuné Tee is evolving nicely, continuing the collaboration with Swedish/French grafitti-artist André & also working together with New Era on a couple of really cool hats. Personally I really love the shoes too!

Perks And Mini was a little less loud than usual yet still maintaining the typical PAM look. I particularily liked the flannels & the New Zealandic wool knitwear

Pitti Uomo - A peek at the goods

Following our post on the well dressed men of Pitti Uomo, we wanted to give you a sneek peek at some of the shows most inspiring pieces & brands.

President's is a fairly new Italian brands that deals only in the finest materials, such as Loro Piana, Harris Tweed, Cashmere, Japanese flannel & Vachetta leathers, all put together into beautiful updates on rugged work- & military wear by artisans in Tuscany.

Rocky Mountain Featherbed was looking extremely good (as always) and gave us a preview of their anticipated collaboration with Clark's Originals!

Japanese brand The Superior Labor has gained a lot of well deserved international attention lately, we can assure you that their bags & fine accesories definetly live up to all the hype. TSL's booth was shared with Riding High, another Japanese brand that focusses on recreating classic sports apparel. Intensely well made, Riding High was one of my absolute favourites of the show!

Another super inspiring part of Pitti was the "Versus Tokyo - Tokyo Fashion Week In Italy" floor which featured brands like Terrem, Habanos & Whiz to name a few. I particularily fell in love with the Terrem shoes, Habanos shirts & the beautiful patchwork type 1 jacket from Whiz.

Just as last time Monitaly showed an extremely impressive set up. My favourites this season were the waxed & the rip stop mountain parkas & the fantastic woolen camo pieces

Tokyo based brand Minotaur showed some beautiful shirtwear woven & dyed in a traditional Japanese way

Superfine quality wool from Sunspel's vintage line.

Dual-Ism Project is a new line from classic Japanese ski-wear brand Descente. Dual-Ism is built around an idea of having two different uses for one product. This means the styling is very urban, yet the product still maintains the Hi-Tech nature ready quality associated with Descente. A cool piece from Dual-Ism was the weather proof wool parka, competed with a hi tech membrane.

Belgian brands Bellerose & Howlin' By Morrison looked really good with lots of fresh an inspiring colors.

Pitti Uomo Streetstyle

This week we've been in Florence for the 81st edition of the Pitti Uomo tradeshow. The ultimate mens wear fashion fair, Pitti boasts some 1073 different brands showcased over an area of 59000 square meters divided in to 11 different stages. It has been a lot to take in to say the least.

Pitti is also known for being a bastion of the most inspiring street style, with peacocking guys everywhere you look. This draws photographers & street style bloggers from across the globe to shoot some of the most well dressed people on the planet. We took a few snaps so you can get an idea of what it's like

Some the looks we found to be most inspiring incorporated classic English tweeds & Scottish tartans, put together either in a super classic, bespoke tailored way or very interestingly mixed with hi tech outerwear & more sporty pieces. All in all just being there made a huge impact on us!

Yesterday we posted up our fit of the week that we based on some of the latest arrivals from Head Porter Plus

A joint venture between Porter's Yoshida Kaban & "The Godfather of Harajuku" Hiroshi Fujiwara, Head Porter first started out in 1998 offering street sensitive & cool-fueled Fujiwara-style redesigns of classic Porter bags. Head Porter Plus is the apparel part, a high quality line of prep classics easily recognized through Hiroshi Fujiwara's iconic & quirky design.

Today we wanted to give you a look at our full selection for this season from Head Porter Plus.

The Folk Shirt is an amazingly soft, brushed flannel shirt. Designed with folklore style color scheme, this shirt features a lot of nice details such as subtle woven Head Porter Plus label at side & reversed fabric chest pocket, cuffs, placket & yoke. One of my personal favourites from the line.

Dr Martens - The English Heritage

British brand Dr Martens was introduced in 1960 by Griggs family as a revolutionary working mans boot label, incorporating the air cushioned rubber soles invented by Dr Maertens & Dr Funck.

The boot with it's air cushioned rubber soles were definetly something different & which sat very well with the emerging British youth cultures, who strived to be differentiate themselves from what had gone be before. Dr Martens quickly became adopted by these new subcultures, starting with the mod & skinhead tribes of the 60's & later the punk movement with all it's different strands. Even though youth culture is different today than it was during the revolutionary years of the 1960's & 1970's & the different tribes aren't as visible anymore, Dr Martens shoes retain a prominent place in the youth's wardrobe, a true testament to the genuinity of Dr Martens.

Here's a look at a few of the models from this legendary brand that we selected for this season:

Starting with the absolute classic, The 1460 is an exact replica of the very first Dr Martens boot to roll of the production line in 1960. These fine goodyear welted boots are hand crafted in the original Northamptonshire factory using Dr Martens original construction techniques. Made using Quilton leather uppers, which replicates the original Dr Martens leather. Available in the classic black & oxblood colorways

Naked And Famous Denim

New to us here at the C Store this season is the fine garments from Canadian brand Naked And Famous Denim.

Naked And Famous Denim is the brainchild of Brandon Svarc, who refers to himself & his colleagues as the "Crazy Canadian Denim Nerds" & was established in 2008. Naked And Famous deals exclusively in Japanese fabrics & sews together all their clothing in their hometown of Quebec, Canada (except for their collaboration which so far have all been made in Japan), staying true to Brandon Svarc's motto "Made where they are from".

Starting with this season's most exciting release from Naked And Famous, The collaboration jeans with Legendary Okayama label ONI Denim.
The result of this team up is a highly remarkable pair of jeans, handcrafted in Japan using an un-sanforized 14 oz selvage denim from ONI. The pants, cut in to the superb Weird Guy fit, have been put together in the ONI factory in Okayama, using vintage American machinery such as the Union Special 43200G chain stitch machine, and features an array of cool detailing including hidden back pocket rivets, ONI hardware & a really cool double branded deerskin leather patch.

Naked And Famous x ONI Weird Guy Jeans €249/SEK 2499:-

Naked And Famous doesn't just do Japanese denim, they also manufacture their fine shirt using amazing Japanese fabrics, such as this fantastic selvage flannel, woven on rebuilt antique Japanese looms. But the remarkable nature of this shirt doesn't stop with the fabric, it has been put together in the oldest excisting shirt factory in North America, founded in Quebec in 1894. The factories tradition of old-world craftmanship & passion for shirting continues to this day.

Another interesting pair of jeans from Naked And Famous is the Weird Guy Japan Heritage. These jeans are created using a typically Japanese low tension weave selvage denim. Rumour has it that this is a sanforized version of a denim previously used by Samurai Jeans, Though it is less extreme, the fabric kind of resembles that of the ONI collab, full of irregularities & slubs.

Sandqvist is a Stockholm based bag company founded in 2004 by Anton Sandqvist. Sandqvist deals in minimalistically designed, functional & durable bags ment for everyday use.

Together with Sandqvist & restaurateur Niklas Ekstedt, we've put together a mini collection consisting of an apron & knife bag. Available in two different colorways, cobalt blue for the self-titled "Ekstedt" restaurant & khaki for 1900/Kåken. Last night we held a party celebrating this fine release. When it comes to mens wear, the best & most timeless garments are often heavily influenced by traditional work & military-wear. For our Christmas wish list this year I've picked 12 of my favourites whose design draws inspiration from these classic themes. A list of items we consider the ultimate Christmas gifts:

Arc'teryx Veilance was established in 2009 & creates technically superior outer wear that is built with a philosophy of fusing form & function, similar to architectural & graphic design ideas. The result of this philosophy is a collection of garments that are superior in quality & performance & that aesthetically are both classic & futuristic at the same time.

I've picked the Arc'teryx Veilance HS11 Field Jacket (€899/SEK 8999:-), a staple M-65 style shell jacket from the Veilance line & instant classic!

One of the most classic brands when it comes to mens apparel is Gloverall. Introducing the original duffle coat in 1951, Gloverall has maintained their military heritage & still managed to reinvent themselves, perfectly balancing modernity with tradition.

From Gloverall my pick is the Mid Length Duffle jacket (€299/SEK 3499:-). This season Norse Projects offers a selection of items put together using amazing knitted merino lambswool fabrics from Scottish manufacturers Knoll Yarns.

From Norse Projects I've picked the Martin Solid Raglan Sweater €125/SEK 1249:-) which is constructed using the high quality Knoll Yarns lambswool fabric. Typically of Norse Projects, the style of this sweater mixes a kind of sportswear-esque streetwear cool with classic mens wear design, making it an instant hit with men of any generation!

A western-style denim shirt is one of those iconic garments that will never fail you. Through the years Levi's Vintage Clothing has been putting out some of the best options on the market & this season is no exception.

The Levi's Vintage Clothing 1955 Sawtooth MidWorn Shirt (€165/SEK 1649:-) is a very authentic looking washed down version, completed with a western style yoke, beautiful mother of pearl snap buttons & the trademark sawtooth shaped chest pocket flaps. Can I get one too?

Undoubtedly classic, Pendleton Woolen Mills' roots date back to 1863. The brand has since made a name for itself with their beautifully crafted Native American blankets & hard wearing shirts, favoured by everyone from loggers to surfers. To this day Pendleton continues to amaze with their high quality wool products.

I picked the L/S Trail Shirt (€159/SEK 1599:-) from Pendleton Woolen Mills. A classic Umatilla wool over shirt with moleskin elbow patches that goes easily with just about any style. Available in both heather grey & dark navy.

One of the best & most exciting denim labels we know is Momotaro. Concieved in 2006 by Kojima based Japan Blue Group as a realisation of their highest visions, Momotaro deals in the finest quality, Japanese hand made jeans.

From Momotaro I've picked the ER007-2B (€259/SEK 2599:-). A unique pair of jeans crafted from beautiful, super dark denim with a pure indigo dyed warp & black sulphur dyed weft, which makes for a fantastic fade once they start to break in!

The 1947 501 from Levi's Vintage Clothing is the most iconic & quintessential pair of jeans ever made. A classic slim straight model, the 1947 501 is both a vintage & modern pair of jeans at the same time with it's hidden rivets, leather patch & famed Cone Mills 12 oz selvage denim combined with the timeless look & fit.

The version I picked of these impeccable jeans is a wash called 1947 501 One I Love (€199/SEK 1999:-). This wash very accurately resembles a pair of 5 month old jeans that have just started breaking in, complete with 3D whiskering & honeycomb abrasions. Definetly beautiful!

In recent years we've seen a boom in mens fashion inspired by the outdoors. A couple of days ago I even recieved a new Japanese fashion magazine that's all about outdoor apparel from a fashion standpoint. It's safe to say that the outdoors will remain a prominent influence in mens fashion for at least another season. Italian boot makers Diemme perfectly embodies the love affair between fashion & the outdoors, turning out beautifully crafted trekking boots optimized to suit urban use.

From Diemme comes the Roccia Vet Lion Suede (€249/SEK 2499:-). With a supple Italian suede upper, breatheable pigment free cowhide lining, light weight Vibram sole & perfect ankle support, these don't only look great, but are amazingly comfortable!

Together with Swedish restaurateur Niklas Ekstedt & accessory makers Sandqvist, Caliroots C Store presents a unique capsule collection celebrating the opening of Niklas' new self titled restaurant "Ekstedts".

The restaurant, which opens in mid November on Humlegårdsgatan in Stockholm, is given a distinct, lodge-like wooden decor & draws inspiration from Basque quisine, with cooking concentrated on a large open fire grill.

Niklas wanted the staff to wear aprons that matched the enviroment of the restaurant & came to us at the C Store for help. We suggested a collaboration with Swedish accesories & bag-makers Sandqvist, which we thought would be an excellent choice for Ekstedts with their rugged canvas & leather accessories.

Consisting of a chef apron & knife case produced by Sandqvist using rugged cotton canvas & oiled leather detailing. Designed with the help of Niklas Ekstedt, whos expertise & long experience in kitchen work has set the standard, the collection perfectly matches the rustic nature of "Ekstedts" & the aprons will be worn by the staff at the restaurant.

"The robust & simplistic design of Sandqvist was exactly what I was looking for. The aprons came out so good that I decided to use them for the staff at Restaurang 1900 aswell. Being part of the design process was something I really enjoyed!" says Niklas Ekstedt about the collaboration.

Grenson - The Good Shoe

Grenson was established in 1866 & is one of the original British shoemakers that still remains in Northamptonshire, the shoe making capital of England.

Grenson's excellent footwear is still being made in the original factory that the company built in 1895, using basically the same techniques & materials.

All Grenson shoes are goodyear welted, just as they were at the turn of the last century. A much more time consuming way of producing shoes that means the shoes will last longer & that they can be re-soled throughout their lifetime, making a pair of Grenson shoes well worth the investment!

The intricate construction of a pair of Grenson shoes requires over 200 steps & it takes about three weeks to complete these top quality Goodyear welted beauties.

This season we stock 4 different models from Grenson.

The Fred, which perfectly blends British & American workwear with the traditional brogue pattern upper & white wedge sole. The use of Vibram's Moreflex wedge soles gives them a super cool, modern appearance & a surprisingly light & very comfortable feel, while still maintaining the classic English look using super fine calf leather uppers.

Japanese brand Rocky Mountain Featherbed deals in some of the most immaculate classic style outerwear we've come across. Originally concieved in the 1960's in Jackson, Wyoming, the brand is most famous for their fantastic western style down vests, which are easily recognized through their hard wearing nylon body & most of all the eponymous cattle leather yoke that adorns the shoulders.

The original Rocky Mountain Featherbed brand dissapeared sometime during the mid 1980's & was resurrected in 2005 by a Japanese vintage collector & Rocky Mountain Featherbed fanatic. Today the brand still stays true to the original ethos, creating the highest quality, hard wearing outer wear possible using the finest materials such as water & windproof nylons, genuine American cattle leather, luxurious Polish down (known world wide for it's supreme quality), beautiful English wool & mouton sheepskins. All put together manually by a group of artisanal craftsmen in Japan.

Here's a look at the styles we're stocking this season:

Starting at the very top, the LDV vest is created using an all leather outer with added mouton sheepskin trims at both the collar & side pockets & finished with white mother of pearl snap buttons. As genuine a look as it is luxurious, this beautiful piece understandably holds quite a hefty price tag, but will last for generations to come!

Since it's inception in 1989, Arc'teryx has been a brand known for pushing the boundaries of what can be done, both in terms of clothing manufacture & performance, with the goal to create the best possible product. With the Veilance line, Arc'teryx translates this way of thinking from outdoor apparell to focus specifically on the demands of urban use.

Ido (Arc'teryx Veilance) & Thomas (Caliroots brand manager)

Ido from Arc'teryx Veilance graced us with a visit in the store a couple of days ago, giving us the low-down on the methods of production & the brands extreme attention to quality & detail.

What is the main concept behind the Veilance line & what triggered Arc'teryx to start making apparell for urban use?

Arc'teryx has always been a company driven by our own demands. The laminated harness we developed in 1993 came about simply because we couldn't find a product suitable for our own needs. With Veilance it's the same idea, Tyler (Jordan, CEO of Arc'teryx) & Conroy (Nachtigall, Arc'teryx designer) felt there was a need for a jacket that was as good as one developed for outdoor performance, but designed to suit the needs of a person who lives & travels in the city.

It seems a lot of focus is being put into selecting the right fabrics. Do you work solely with Gore-Tex as your fabric supplier & are you using any fabrics specifically woven for Veilance?

Since the beginning we've always had a very close relationship with Gore-Tex. We have a mutual understanding & drive when it comes to developing new ideas & pushing things forward, sometimes working almost as a testing ground for Gore's latest & most advanced fabrics. For Veilance, some of the fabrics we're using are being released exclusively to us first before being made available to other brands. We do however work with some Japanese fabrics as well, but our main fabric supplier is Gore-Tex.

A lot of brands are designing their collections based on a seasonal idea or concept, often with it's ground in the heritage of mens wear. Does this also apply to Veilance?

Not really. Arc'teryx has always been a technologically driven brand rather than heritage based. Sure, as with any mens wear brand our jacket styles are based on heritage military- & work-wear, but the main point of the design is to build a perfect product. Everything you see in our garments is carefully thought over. For instance, the sleeves on our jackets doesn't go up when you raise your arm, this took two years of developing before Conroy was satisfied with the result. So rather than reinventing the whole line, each collection is based on updating a number of key styles based on color, fabric choice & slight design modifications.

Is everything made in Canada?

Yes, every piece within the Veilance line is made in Canada, in our own factory in Vancouver, just a few blocks from our main office. It is the same factory where we make the products for the LEAF program. LEAF is short for Law Enforcement & Armed Forces. Among other armed forces, we're contracted by the US Marine Corps to produce some of their equipment that they use in the field. It's in this factory that we can test new things & really get to push ourselves even further in order to create products that we can proudly say are the best ever made.

Medicom Toy has once again teamed up with Disney to release new versions of their collectables based on the 1995 Walt Disney Studios Oscar nominated short film "Runaway Brain".

This time resulting in two different versions, one pre- & one post Dr Frankenollie's experiment, created in the form of Medicom Toy's Magical Action Figure, a super cool toy with movable joints making the figurine's able to perform 18 different points of articulation!

The two different Mickey's are pretty affordable too, each piece retailing at €30/SEK 299:- so you can easily get both without any remorse!

På Torsdag den 20/10 lanserar vi det nya svenska denimmärket A/B P.I. Hagberg här på C Store och firar med fest!

Celebrating the release of the fine Swedish made jeans from A/B P.I. Hagberg & Co, we're throwing a party this Thursday evening!

Detta självbetitlade projekt drivs av Per-Ivan Hagberg, som har en gedigen bakgrund i herrkonfektion med bland annat det work-wear inspirerade märket Dunderdon som Per-Ivan grundade 1997.

"Jag startade det här projektet för att jag ville börja tillverka jeans i Sverige. Den denimtillverkning vi en gång hade här i landet försvann i slutet av -70-talet och början av 80-talet, tillsammans med stora delar av den övriga konfektions tillverkningen. För att komma igång behövde jag någon med rätt utrustning och kunnande till att sy hög kvalitativ denim. I Borås, den stad som en gång i tiden var Sveriges textilindustri centrum, hittade jag en liten, modern fabrik driven av ett entusiastisk team. De hade både kunskaperna och maskinparken jag hade letat efter, vilket fick mig att tro att mina ambitioner skulle kunna bli verklighet."

This self-titled project is run by Per-Ivan Hagberg, who has a long & rich background in men's apparel & among other things founded the work-wear inspired Dunderdon label in 1997.

"My ambition when I started this project was to produce high quality jeans in Sweden. The denim production we once had disappeared in the late 70's and early 80's along with much of the other clothing manufacturing. My first task was to find someone with the skills and means to manufacture high quality jeans. In Borås, the former textile center of Sweden, I found a small, modern factory run by an enthusiastic team. They had the required skill and means to manufacture high quality jeans, and this convinced me that my ambitions would be fruitful."

Japan Blue now available at C Store!

Today we have recieved our first shipment of denims from Japanese label JAPAN BLUE.

A subsidiary of the Rampuya brand, Japan Blue is a sister label of Momotaro Jeans & deals in some of the finest Japanese made denims. Where Momotaro bases their designs on the traditional & vintage, Japan Blue sets out with the innovative goal of creating a more fashion minded product in terms of fit & fabric choices, yet still utilizing the artisanal know-how & methods of production synonymous with Rampuya.

The results are some perfectly crafted pairs of jeans, created using signature selvage denim traditionally dyed & woven on vintage shuttle looms & sewn on vintage Union Special machines. This meticulous attention to quality & detail is matched by the carefully designed cuts, which are some of the best fitting we've seen! Even the flashers & tags are something extra, Japan Blue uses vintage style Japanese washi paper for the flasher & traditional Hanafuda playing cards for the price tags on some of their models. All this offered at a price point we never thought possible!

For fall/winter 2011 we're stocking the 0700SP, which is produced in collaboration with Momotaro & JB0701 which is an original Japan Blue model, but carries a white cowhide patch with Momotaro branding on it, signalling the close relationship between the two brands.

The collaboration 0700SP model is a skinny fit straight cut created using a beautiful 14.8 oz selvage denim & features detailing synonymous with Momotaro, such as epynomous white line printed right back pocket, the pink contrast inseam stitchings, Momotaro branded rivets & buttons & of course the classic peach-boy cowhide leather patch.

Japan Blue 0700SP €159/SEK 1599:-

The JB0701 is a similar fit but features signature Japan Blue donut buttons, Japanese-style Hanko stamped pocket linings & plain rivets & back pockets. Seemingly plain, the attention to detail is astonishing! These also come with the special washi paper flasher & Hanafuda-style price-tags. Made up in the amazing quality 14.8 oz selvage denim these jeans are sure to fade in the most remarkable way!

Monitaly A/W 2011

As you might have seen on the website, we've recieved some amazing new product from California based brand Monitaly.

Monitaly is the brainchild of designer Yuki Matsuda who also runs moccasin shoe brand Yuketen. The brand name is derived from Mr Matsuda's three biggest passions in life: His daughter Monica, the Military, in particular the incredible quality of Mil Spec fabrications (which is also seen in all Monitaly pieces) & Italy. A serious vintage collector & enthusiast, Yuki Matsuda bases all Monitaly designs on vintage apparel, updated to fit great yet utilizing the same attention to detail & quality. As Yuki Matsuda puts it himself:

We just had news that one of this years most exciting denim deliveries is on it's way to us here at the C Store!

Per-Ivan Hagberg, known for his success with the Dunderdon label & his passion for Swedish work wear, has gone out of his way to create a product that is truly unique in this day in age: Mr Hagberg has managed to produce artisanal denim jeans in Sweden!

The first hand made jeans from A/B P.I Hagberg is a tapered regular fit named H60, limited to 200 individually numbered pairs. The jeans are created on vintage Union Special machines using 12 oz Japanese selvage denim fabric of the highest quality, hand striked solid copper rivets, hand stamped patch made with vegetable tanned leather sourced from Swedish tannery Tärnsjö, hidden Iphone pocket within left front pocket & front buttons sewn on using solid super-strong airbag thread. The same model is also available in a coarse woven, uber heavy 19 oz selvage fabric, sourced from the same Japanese denim mill.

C Store Fit of the Week

A common Swedish tradition this time of year is heading out in to the woods to pick mushrooms, particularily such delicious treats as chanterelles & porcini mushrooms.

For this weeks outfit we've drawn inspiration from the typical mushroom-pickers outfit, layering the heavily waxed Longline Parka from Heritage Research as an outer with the Universal Works Angler Waistcoat underneath, ideal for outdoor use with it's many pockets. Closest to the body we've put the luxuriously soft Andrew Crewneck sweatshirt from Italian brand Workers Knitting Mills for superior comfort. We tied the whole thing up with Our Legacy's slim fit jeans & the new 212 oxford version of the classic 214 boot from Red Wing, making the outfit work just aswell on the city street as in the woods.

Stüssy Deluxe just released their fall/winter 2011 lookbook which features legendary Stüssy tribe member Jules Gayton. Originally from London, the jack of all trades moved across the Atlantic in the 1980's to attend both Pepperdine University in Malibu & Parsons School of Design in NYC.

While in New York, Gayton became an avid dj playing at hip venues such as Area, Tunnel, Cheetah & Limelight to name a few. This is also where he met Shawn Stussy & the longtime partnership with Stüssy began. After djing alongside fellow tribe members Hiroshi Fujiwara, Michael Koppelman & Alex Baby at Stüssy World Tribe parties in both New York & Tokyo & appearing in several Stüssy ads, Jules moved to Hawaii in 2001 & opened his famous Leilow shop in 2003. He is also a partner in the Stüssy Honolulu boutique.

The Stüssy Deluxe A/W 2011 collection is due for release here at the C Store tomorrow. To let you know what to expect, here's a few flicks from the seasonal lookbook:

We mentioned in an earlier post that British brand Universal Works has delivered their fall/winter 2011 collection. Besides the regular pieces, which are fantastic, we have also recieved a extremely exciting new jacket.

Produced exclusively for the C Store in a limited edition of only 30 pieces, Universal Works have created a special, re-worked version of their pinnacle Peak Parka which is due for release both instore & online tomorrow on September 21st @ 18:00 CET. (RSVP to the Release Reception @ Facebook)

Maintaining the classic shape & style of the Peak Parka, our version uses an outerlayer of weather proof waxed canvas fabric from The British Millerain & comes with a detachable lining crafted from a warming pile fabric, making it the perfect jacket for a nordic climate. We finished it off using leather football buttons & drawstring toggles crafted from premium high quality bridle leather.

We just recieved some of the fantastic jackets & coats from classic British brand Gloverall. Still manufactured in London out of high quality melton wool, these beautiful coats stay true to the great war originals, but are updated in fit & detailing.

Here's a look at the coat's we've recieved so far:

Starting off we have the 10 button Reefer, a fantastic water resitant melton wool pea-coat inspired by the one worn by Winston Churchill during the second world war. Fully satin lined & features 10 button fastening with classic anchor buttons, four front pockets, two hand warmers & two patch pockets, one inner pocket & centre back seam with vent at hem. A classic piece that will last you a lifte time!

We also recieved the updated version of the classic mid length duffle coat

Maintaining the original silhouette, it features 4 duffle toggle buttons as opposed to the original 3, a detatchable neck flap, two large front pockets & one inner pocket, plaid wool lining. As you may come to expect, this is the time of year when our brands have begun delivering their fall collections to us here at C Store. Among them is Heritage Research, a brand that specializes in reproducing mens wear classic with an attention to detail that's so extreme it borders on being autistic. All garments are meticulously made by hand under one roof in the U.K. using only the finest British & Japanese fabrics, specifically woven for Heritage Research.

This season the collection is divided into two sections, one inspired by JFK's impeccable sense of style & the other by mountain man John 'Liver Eating' Johnson's rugged appearance. Though these two may seem like total opposites, the different aesthetics blend effortlessly to create the signature Heritage Research look.

First fall drops from Diemme

As previewed in our Norse Projects fall lookbook, Diemme has delivered the first part of their fall collection.

Comprised mainly of boots taken from the brands hunting collection, which have been updated using new colorways & luxurious materials yet still maintaining the comfort associated with Diemme, it is a collection of mountaineering boots that works perfectly in an urban enviroment.

This version of the Roccia Vet has been updated using a beautiful full grain leather from Italian tannery Conceria Emmedue & the lightweight & comfortable Vibram Moreflex Cristy soles, known for its extra flexible & bouncy capacities. Utilizing the original's perfect ankle support & padded inner lining (as do all of the Diemme shoes we carry), these are among the comfiest boots we've ever come across!

The Conceria Mastrotto suede version is another cool & equally comfortable update using an Italian made orange middle sole with Vibram Lisk bottom sheets that not only looks great, but also sports great non slip capacity. Available in Tundra grey & Oceania blue.

New for the season is the use of Vibram's classic & super durable Jumbo Ripple sole. A sole more often seen in military boots, the ripple pattern gains traction in even the toughest enviroments, such as loose sand, dirt, mud or snow. We stock this shoe in cool yellow colorway created from beautiful Italian nubuck leather.

The black 1.4 mm Conceria Matrotto suede version sits on an all white Vibram Begonia Moreflex sole. Slightly stiffer than the Cristy sole, but still a lot softer than the Roccia Block, Vibram Begonia is a sole perfectly suited for going on longer walks in the city.

The Tibet boot stays true to the original Diemme style, sitting on the heavy & hard wearing Vibram Roccia block sole. Denim Demon x Kero

Celebrating their sami heritage, Swedish brand Denim Demon has teamed up with the artisans at Kero to create a capsule collection of leather accessories, crafted from the finest vegetable tanned reindeer- & cowhides.

The collection consists of a pair of beak boots, a shoe traditionally used by the sami's of Lapland, updated using Vibram soles & lower toe box to fit the standards of the modern, urban man. A fantastic Denim Demon version of the classic Kero Råstojaure rucksack, created using Denim Demon's custom 15.5 oz Jämtland selvage denim & geniune reindeer horn buttons, and a medium sized pouch constructed using buttery soft bark tanned reindeer leather & the same denim & horn buttons as the rucksack.

Upon recieving the great first delivery of Norse Projects' Autumn/ Winter 2011 collection, we felt compelled to show you how we would style these fantastic pieces.

As we reported earlier the Norse Projects Autumn Winter 2011 collection is comprised of updated mens wear classics with a strong rooting in military- & workwear. Crafted from natural materials such as fine merino wool, heavy duty canvas & thick cotton flannel the collection not only looks good, but also suits the northern autumn climate perfectly.

We just had word that the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection from Japanese brand Spellbound is about to drop very soon.

Just as we've seen in previous collections from the brand, this fall Spellbound presents a very wearable collection mainly inspired by vintage American outdoor- & work wear but with a Japanese twist. All garments are hand crafted in Japan using some of the finest japanese fabrics & washed down to create a nice worn out look & feel.

With all the new Han Kjöbenhavn & Our Legacy releases that's dropped in to the store recently, we felt compelled to put together a fit that works just as well for those first days of school as it does for the extracurricular activites.

The fantastic olive drab Army Shirt from Han Kjöbenhavn works great as an early fall jacket & goes nicely with their washed out orange Worker Crew Neck, which we layered with Our Legacy's 1950's Heavy American Shirt. Put together with Han Kjöbenhavn's 50's Tapped Jeans in the vintage marble wash & the awesome Reggie gibson shoes from Sanders, it's comes down to a perfect outfit for the season!
