Indigofera Prima Jeans

Swedish denim brand Indigofera Prima Jeans is back! This season the collection is really strong, with silhouettes that are a bit slimmer than we're used to see from Indigofera, & washes that are beautiful & very authentic looking.

Today we'd like to give you a closer look @ 3 of the new Indigofera jeans models for this spring


This is the Mack Daydreamer which is the lightest wash we're carrying this season from Indigofera. These jeans have got a really cool eighties feel to them, with the heavily washed out indigo color & fabric which reminds us a lot of the early eighties open end qualities used for Levi's orange tab jeans.

If you feel that the Mack Clear Blue Wash looks familiar it's not a coincidence as we carried this wash but in the Clint model last season. It works just as well (if not better) in the slimmer Mack silhouette which we regard very highly. It is a perfect mid rise, slim model with quite a strong taper. Looks just as good worn with sneakers or, as shown below, with a pair of heavy duty Red Wings.

A new model for us this season is the Ray which we offer in a raw, unwashed open end quality. Similar to the Mack model, Ray is a slim & tapered fit, but it sits somewhat lower at the waist.
The open end quality is really nice, super hairy & fuzzy & quite soft to the hand. because of this fabric we believe these jeans have have amazing fading possibilities & the deep indigo dye makes for super high contrast.

Levis Vintage Clothing

As you've propably seen @ our C Store webshop we've recieved a lot of new washes from Levis Vintage Clothing. This season the washed program from LVC is really strong & offered at a fantastic price point considering the amount of detail & effort put in to these pieces.

The 1947 cut is regarded as the definitive 5 pocket jean. It is a classic & timeless regular slimmish cut, perfect for all body types. 1947 was also the year that all the key features of the 501 jeans (such as the arcuate stitching, zinc buttons & copper rivets) re appeared after being removed due to wartime savings.

With film like The Wild One & Rebel Without A Cause & moviestars such as Marlon Brando & James Dean, 1954 was a year that saw the dawning of youth culture. The youth's uniform was leather jackets & tight Levi's which can be seen in the slim & tapered silhouette of the 1954 501's. This was also the first of a few brief years that Levi's offered it's staple model with a zipper fly.

The 1944 version shows Levi's efforts to help spend as little as possible of America's resources. For instance, the typical Levi's arcuate stitch is printed on to the back pockets instead of stitched & the pocket linings are made using surplus materials rather than new to help save cotton. To save copper the crotch & coin pockets are removed & the fly buttons are made of generic iron buttons instead of zinc. The 1944 fit is a typical 40's boxy & straight cut that still works today, either worn downsized or slouched for a baggier look.

Fit of the week

The cool bags from japanese label SÄGLIFE has gone live online @ our new C Store webshop!
SÄGLIFE, or SÄG for short, has been around since 2003 when pro snowboarder Ichigo came up with the idea to design a backpack meeting the needs of snowboarders, skateboarders & fixed-gear riders. The result was the very popular Air Force 1 backpack, which is still part of the SÄGLIFE collection. Rather than coming up with new designs for each season, SÄG focuses a few key models which they continually update & refine. Special colorways & versions of these models are also released each season in collaboration with Ichigo's creative friends, such as San Francisco based cyclist crew MASH, New York retailer & brand Dave's Quality Meat & japanese hip hop group Scha Dara Parr.

We thought it would be nice to base this weeks fit around one of SÄG's superb Messenger Bags, matching it with the blue contrast pocket edges of Henrik Vibskov's fantastic deconstructed M65 jacket.
