Band Of Outsiders x Sperry Top-siders

Last week we recieved a selection of this seasons collaboratory collection of footwear from Band Of Outsiders x Sperry Top-sider.


Perfectly blending the iconic cool of L.A. brand Band Of Outsiders with the modern classic look of Sperry Top-sider, the collaboration focusses on the Authentic Original model, updating the shoes with innovative & unique choices of fabric.


Thus far we've recieved three colorways, blue/teal, brown suede & grey.


The contrasty blue/teal colorway mixes suede & nylon, creating a cool & cruisy look. City slick!

Made up in the same suede/nylon mix but in a tonal & muted light brown colorway, these are the ultimate boat shoes to match with denim!

The luxurious grey version is made up of a wool material more commonly seen in business suits which makes it a perfect shoe not only for your casual walk down town, but also for more formal occasions.

Baxter Of California Eau De Cologne

Taking cue from the early 1970's, eau de cologne was reintroduced to Baxter of California in 2009. Bravado 2 & Bravado 3 are the first from the brand since the original Bravado was defunct in 2000 after staying within the line for almost 30 years.

Just as with the candles, BoC engaged Marc Atlan to create exquisite package designs for the new fragrances. Unlike traditional box packaging, Atlan stayed away from using ink or glue. Instead, he created a bold study in contrasts by using a dense and intricate explosion of splatters, sprays & drips in foil application.


“The packaging is unapologetic, radical & absolutely masculine,” says Atlan.


Bravado 2 is a very modern, light & sophisticated scent, designed to fringe on unisex. Features notes of citrus, lemon, mandarin, basil, light florals, cypress & soft vanilla musk.

PF Flyers x Freemans Sporting Club

Joining forces with visionary New York City retailer Freemans Sporting Club (FSC), PF Flyers have re-released two archival styles from their 1949 catalogue.


Produced to the standards of a bygone era when mens garments were mainly functional & built to last, & influenced by the natural surroundings of New York state, the PF Flyers x FSC collaboration is ment to honour the adventurous ways of hikers & outdoorsmen


The collab has resulted in the revised saddle shoe Taghkanic, which gets it's new name from the Columbia County Lake Taghkanic State Park, & the sleek chukka boot style Mohonk, named after the classic Hudson Valley mountain retreat.


Perfect for the warmer months, the PF Flyers x Freemans Sporting Club comes highly recommended for laidback lakeside days in the sun

Stussy Deluxe x Timberland Loafers

Here's a look at one of the, in our opinion, best collaborations this season. Incorporating high quality nubuck leather handstiched over a white Vibram christy sole, the shoe perfectly catches the streetwear cool of Stussy Deluxe & modern classic vibe of Timberland.

Kristoffer, one of the C Store staff, has worn his brown pair daily for about a month now & rates these as one of the best buys this summer. As you can tell from the pictures, the shoes are just starting to get that nice & rich, worn in patina

Get 'em while you still can!

Baxter Of California scented candles

Last week we introduced you to the classic L.A. brand Baxter Of California & their fine grooming products. As we mentioned in the previous post, the line also offers a selection of beautifully scented candles.


We currently stock four varieties from Baxter Of California's Flammable series; Tubéreuse Noire, Cassis Noir, Jasmin Noir & Lapsang Noir. The 9 oz candles are hand poured in Brooklyn, New York by the artisans at Joya using a black, soy-based wax.

Joya is the brainchild of Frederick Bouchardy & has been in business since 2004. Joya makes everything from scratch in the small factory that employs a team of six, ensuring the highest quality & performance with every product.


Packaged in designs created by Marc Atlan, an art director with fragrance packaging credits including Comme des Garcons, Helmut Lang and Yves Saint Laurent, the Flammable candles makes for an ideal gift for the modern man.


The Tubéreuse Noire is a wonderful sweet scent with notes of Tuberose, Bergamot, White Tea Rose, Geranium & Camellia
